What to Knit?

At the moment, I'm in the awful position of not knowing what to knit next. The problem isn't a myriad of projects that I can't choose from. Nope. I'm out of ideas.

This is a bad, bad thing. I've gotten to the point where I can't sit still and watch TV. My hands have to be doing something. That's why I made the hat...

And I still have a few spiders on order...

I should build up my stock of lip balm holders...

But I need something else. (Okay, those are crochet--all but the hat--which might be a big part of the problem.)

So, I came here to ask for help. What should I knit next? (Or crochet. What should I make next?) I'm desperate for ideas. Is there anything that you'd like to see me add to my shop?

  1. Do you make those cozies for cans and bottles?

  2. I with Alex but also think of cozies for coffee cup holders-my fingers burn holding onto them. There are slippers also

  3. Hmm...what about some sort of pumpkin to go with the spider? Is that something you can do?

    1. Yep, that I could do, although I wouldn't recommend it.

    1. Yeah. I should have started those months ago. But I'm not sure what I want to make for them. Sigh.

  7. I'm stuck, too. I started a sweater but lost interest. Same thing with a hat. Like you, I need to do something with my hands in the evening. The cozies might be a good idea. Simple and quick. I need to go check my yarn stash!

    1. I started a sweater last year that I haven't touched in ages. Perhaps I'd better get back to it.

  8. As a fellow knitter, I like to balance small and/or quick-to-knit projects with larger and/or lengthier projects. For the former, I prefer hats, headbands, bracelets, fingerless gloves, and dishcloths. If you enjoy cabling, like me, perhaps you can incorporate it into more projects? You obviously have the skill, as your cabled cozies for a smartphone and tablet look great. Doilies can be fun, too. :-)

    1. Yeah, I like to have at least three projects going at any one time (so I can switch them out when one is making me crazy), but I haven't managed to figure out what else to do.

Doilies... Hmmmm... I've kind of wanted to try my hand at turning that sort of look into a cozy...

    1. Winter in So Cal isn't what one would call cold. I mean, we would, but what freezes us to the bone makes the rest of the country laugh.
